Why should you get an implant? Are you missing one or more teeth? Your dentures do not feel secure? Implants might be the answer to your problem. Failure to replace missing teeth can lead to the displacement of neighbouring, antagonistic teeth and contribute to poor dental occlusion and other problems associated with tooth movement. Implantology is becoming more and more common and is an excellent long-term investment. |

What is a dental implant? It is a biocompatible, artificial root made of metal (titanium) that is inserted into the jaw to replace the root of a natural tooth. This procedure is relatively simple and is often a better option than a bridge or removable dentures. A dental implant helps you smile again and contributes to bone and gum integrity. Dental implants can facilitate chewing, and consequently, digestion. The fixed prosthesis provides exceptional stability and comfort. Implantology is a durable and long-lasting treatment. Is the procedure painful? This treatment must be gentle so as not to interfere with the osseointegration of the implant. Local anesthesia is usually used and is sometimes combined with an anxiolytic to maximize your comfort. Due to the delicacy of the procedure, symptoms and post-operative pain are greatly reduced. What is the PRF protocol? We use the PRF protocol which consists of taking a blood sample directly at our clinic by a registered nurse. Your blood is then centrifuged to separate its components and recover a platelet-rich concentrate. This will be used to form a membrane that will be applied by your dentist to the surgical site and that will promote good healing. Since it comes from your blood, this graft should be naturally accepted by your body. |
Why take a 3D scan? The proper placement of an implant and its success rate is based on rigorous, meticulous, and highly detailed planning. It is necessary to locate the dental structures unique to your mouth such as the sinus cavities and the inferior alveolar nerve and to have precise views of your bone structure. A 3D scan performed at our facilities ensures exceptional image clarity with minimal radiation doses. We can thus evaluate the quality and quantity of the bone that will support the implant. |

How does this technology work? The Japanese-designed computer software Morita ensures advanced planning in the implant industry. It allows the dentist to precisely measure the best position of the implant and thus choose the appropriate shape and size of the implant. Obtaining accurate images of the anatomy of your jaws will allow us to carefully plan the procedure, making it safe, predictable, and less painful.

What about costs?A dental implant is an excellent dental replacement solution and is a long-term investment in your oral health. A 3D X-ray and an in-depth one-hour consultation will be offered for planning and cost estimation. |
