Orthodontic problems

Orthodontic problems, which are very common, can cause several complications:

Orthodontic problems, which are very common, can cause several complications:

  • Misaligned teeth
  • Gum and bone disease
  • Abnormal wear of the teeth
  • Pain in the jaw joints.

These orthodontic problems are diagnosted early  childhood and can therefore be easily corrected with appliances that act on the growth of the jaws. This intervention, called Phase 1, will facilitate a corrective procedure later and therefor will be shorter.
Teens and adults

Teens and adults

For teens and adults, correcting these problems consists of a treatment called phase 2 or major orthodontic treatment.

This treatment can be done with conventional braces, or with the Invisalign technique.

Invisalign is a technology that consists of a series of custom-made aligners (transparent aligners) that correct the occlusion by gradually moving the teeth. These aligners are worn 22 hours a day.
